The PCL Foundation prides itself on its ability to respond quickly when our cutting edge policy research, public education and community empowerment is needed on a particularly pressing environmental issue.
For example, after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina many Californians turned to the PCL Foundation for information on how to enact environmentally responsible Flood Management practices.
Likewise after the passage of Proposition 12 in 2000 the PCL Foundation was sought out to examine the Proposition's expenditures for urban parks. Our analysis has helped shape the massive infrastructure and resource bonds considered by the California Legislature in 2005 and 2006.
