Project Manager and Legislative Advocate
René Guerrero is a Program Manager and Legislative
Advocate on issues that intersect the environment and public
health. In 2003, he joined PCL as in intern and was later hired
to manage PCLF’s lead poisoning prevention program from
2003-2006. He has since been a Legislative Advocate focusing
on policy that addresses health impacts due to environmental
degradation, imprudent land use decisions, and exposure to
toxic chemicals.
René earned a B.A. in International Relations from
UC Davis, and worked for the CA Technology, Trade and Commerce
Agency. He is the Co-Chair of the Central Valley Air Quality
Coalition’s Legislative Committee, and serves the City
of West Sacramento as a Planning Commissioner. He spends his
leisure time running after and from his two young boys.
